The Volunteer Board

The Volunteers for Fairfax has an advisory board comprised of 7 positions.  Most positions are for a three-year term. The functions of the Advisory Board include:

  • Working with the Town Administrator and the Volunteer Coordinator in implementation of the Volunteer Program in Fairfax.
  • Creating appropriate volunteer projects to support the Board’s mission.
  • Recommending to the Town Council guidelines for the Volunteer Program with regard to projects and activities that will meet Town and community needs.
  • Actively soliciting volunteers from the community to carry out the approved projects and programs.
  • Promoting the Town and community through greater awareness and participation.
