Creek Cleanup

Who'd have thought pulling junk from the creek could be so much fun? Each year, we orchestrate cleanup of Fairfax and San Anselmo Creeks to ensure that our creeks flow unobstructed through the winter rainy season and to improve wildlife habitat. Since 2003, we then construct a temporary sculpture with the debris in town to raise awareness of how much refuse finds its way into our watershed. In addition to learning about creek ecology, our Creek Cleanup is also a great way to meet your neighbors!
