Parks and Recreation Commission (PARC) The Fairfax Volunteers often work with the PARC to put on family oriented events, such as Winter Ice Skating in the Pavilion, the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Bolinas Park, the Fairfax Festival & Parade in June, a pumpkin carving party for children at Halloween, and a themed New Year's Eve bash by the Artists-in Residence.
