The First Annual (2006) Town-Wide Picnic

Our First Annual Town-Wide Picnic was held on Sunday, September 16th, from noon to 5 pm at the Fairfax Ball Field.

picnicThe Picnic was a huge success and featured a Beatles Tribute with The Lillypudlians, Potluck Dishes, Community Art with Artist in Residence Shoshana Parry, a Fairfax Trailmarkers station, a Dunk Tank, a Van Painting Project, Games including a Balloon Toss, Sack Races, Pie Eating Contest and the Tug-o-War, PLUS Temporary Tattoos, Face Painting, Puppets, a Bouncy and more!

The Fairfax Volunteers is a town-sponsored group whose mission is to foster good will in the Town of Fairfax through implementation of a Volunteer Program that will meet Town and community needs. The Fairfax Volunteers Program Advisory Board Members are: John Reed, Holly Dines, Melanie Peratis, Anya Schandler, Tim Barrett, Lana Pereyaslavska, and David Johansen. The Advisory Board meets the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00pm at the Fairfax Community Center (check Town bulletin board for changes).
